Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization whose mission is to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy.
Our Lady of Grace Conference
There has been a Society of St. Vincent de Paul conference at Our Lady of Grace parish since 1964. We operate as a registered charity, and we are funded by generous donations from parishioners as well as from our local Catholic schools. We provide emergency assistance to low-income individuals and families in Aurora, primarily in the form of grocery gift cards and through home visits. We also provide information on other community resources and supports available for individuals and families in need. Additional assistance that our conference provides includes the Good Food Box (a monthly box of fresh produce), a Christmas program, and summer camp referrals.
We also partner with Welcoming Arms, the ecumenical organization that provides assisstance to low-income individuals and families in Aurora. The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul provides monthly financial support to Welcoming Arms as part of our parish partnership.
Our conference currently has 10 members, and we welcome new volunteers. Contact the parish office if you would like additional information. Our conference meets on the second Monday of each month, September - June.
