Catholic Women's League (CWL)

The Catholic Women's League of Canada is a national organization rooted in gospel values and calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God.

The League offers opportunities for service, for fellowship, for social justice and for spiritual growth. It has something of interest for all women in the parish and has a broad scope of activities that can use many of the gifts and talents that God has given each of us. Through membership in the League, women have a chance to connect with other Catholic women. Whatever your interests, you will be able to find inspiration and fulfillment by joining this great sisterhood of women.

The CWL, here at Our Lady of Grace Parish, has coordinated and participated in many different events that have benefited our community over the years. Events such as the Smiles for Seniors Christmas Card project and Baby Showers for the Rose of Sharon Services in Newmarket. We have also held fundraising events such as the annual Christmas Market and Raffle, Mother’s Day Tea, and Father's Day Cake Raffle to name a few. We have hosted prayerful events such as the Advent and Lenten Reflection Series as well as the occasional fun workshop, like the Pysanky Easter Egg decorating workshop. Every Tuesday we have Zoom Rosary and pray for world peace as well as personal intentions of those attending (you don’t have to be a member to pray with us!) To register and obtain a Zoom link to attend, please email Annette at 'olgcwl@gmail.com’.

Through membership in the League, women have a chance to connect with other Catholic women. No pre-registration is required to attend. We meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm throughout the year except July, August, and January. The annual membership fee is $40.

We welcome all women of the parish and invite you to attend any of our meetings as a guest.
